Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham, hails from the alternate reality of Earth-8311. This dimension is populated by anthropomorphic animal versions of familiar Marvel characters.
Peter Porker wasn't always a pig. Originally, he was a spider bitten by May Porker, his scientist owner, who was experimenting with a hair dryer powered by atomic energy. The radioactive bite transformed the spider into a pig with spider-like abilities.
Spider-Ham's first appearance was in Marvel Tails Starring Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham #1 (November 1983). He has been featured in comics, and as a LEGO set.
